Boutique Luxury Hotels are Some of the Best

Great Southern California Livin’ getaway

The Beach House in Hermosa Beach, California, south of L.A. is a great spot if you are looking for a real California getaway. It is a superb relaxing beach hotel. I researched and stumbled upon it but it has a good laid back vibe and I was not disappointed. Good for soul searching and watching the waves from your balcony. It’s in Hermosa Beach – right ON the beach – and just 15 minutes south of LAX and 45 minutes from my house in Beverly Hills and I felt like I was away for a month. You feel totally removed, can walk The Strand for miles (which I did each day), you can hear the waves in your dreams (as I did) and you can smell the ocean from your bed (which I smelt) Truly – this is what California livin’ is all about.

The Beach House is a boutique luxury beach hotel nestled in sunny Hermosa Beach which is between Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach. It’s an urban oasis in the middle of the Los Angeles beach scene. It really is the best kept secret! I enjoyed and retreated and rested on the miles of white sandy beaches and loved just hearing the seagulls and waves breaking.

There is also sunset dining, fun nightlife, great surf shops and one of a kind specialty shops just two blocks from the hotel on Pier Ave.

The Beach House is a perfect luxury boutique hotel for a romantic getaway, a family vacation or a corporate retreat. It feels like Shutters in Santa Monica and has similar architecture but this place is so quaint. If you’ve ever been there you know the feeling.

As far as the service – well it’s Four Seasons caliber. The staff could not be any nicer, the atmosphere so welcoming and the continental breakfast that’s included was a nice touch each morning as you sit on their terrace overlooking the water. I just loved it. The Front desk says hello every time you pass buy. Every time! They say you’ll never want to stay in another ocean front hotel anywhere else again and it is so true. This place does it right.

From the perfectly coifed rooms to the LA Magazine calls Beach House “One of the 100 sexiest people, places or things to do in LA.” I could not agree more. This is my place now. I can tell you it’s expensive but worth every penny. Make sure to get the ocean FRONT view – if – seeing and feeling and tasting that Pacific Ocean is important to you as it is to me.

Seeing and hearing the ocean feeds my soul and this place definitely gave me that and more as I savored and reflected every moment I was there. The place is just fantastic and now one that I return to one day as the stay was memorable.

PS. I wrote this review with no freebies. I paid ‘ ull’ price and asked for absolutely nothing to be comp’ed, so this is truly an authentic review.
