Obsession is a Netflix psychological erotic horror limited series about control and desire that unfolds with psychological escalation. And. It’s really creepy and unsettling but it does what it sets out to do.
A young man uses a mysterious object to grant his wish with his crush. He gets one wish. He asks for her love. Her feelings then turn unnatural and romance is turned into possession. Emotions get violent and things get dangerous and they both can’t get out. We watch the breakdown of the relationship and we see how it turns to control through horror. It shows a disintegration of love into fear and survival. It explores obsession from both sides.
The rating is R for strong bloody violence, grisly images, and sexual content. If that sounded appealing – then this is for you. Just remember I warned you.
