The red carpet is covering the pavement of Hollywood Boulevard. It’s quite amazing to realize you are in the middle of the street when walking down that red carpet or working it as a media outlet covering it. It completely transforms into a beautiful space but really you are in the middle of the road. This year, the red carpet is back to being red after last years champagne color in 2023. It is almost 985 feet in length and 33 feet wide. It is covered with a huge champagne-colored tent as it leads to the grand staircase of the Dolby theater. The cost of this carpet to cover the street is about $25 thousand dollars and takes 600 hours to install it. It’s na polyester based, sisal-style rug made from recycled materials that will again be recycled but not for a second Academy Awards.
