"The Beatles: Get Back" is a three-part series that will not be a theatrical release but will have a Disney +, which is it's flagship steaming platform, debut around Thanksgiving Nov, 25, 26, 27.
With steaming the way of the world now, Lord of the Rings Peter Jackson created a six-hour, three episode documentary series from The Walt Disney Studios, Apple Corps Ltd. and WingNut Films Productions Ltd instead of one theatrical movie. They didn't want him to direct just one but instead - three that run about two hours each instead. We are happy about that, more to savor. The series includes never-before seen footage that shows the men behind the music. You are taken back in time to when they recorded the Let It Be album. The footage was originally shot in 1969 but only released a year later after they had broken up. It shows the four as co-workers, bandmates, friends and individual creators and exposes who they really were as a unit and individually. A must-see, I would say. Can't wait.
