The 78th annual Primetime Emmy Awards held two back-to-back nights of ceremonies at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles this weekend. 

These Creative Arts Emmys now wait for the televised Primetime Emmys on September 14 live on NBC and Peacock. A whopping 102 statuettes were handed out this weekend for craft work and special creations. 

Apple’s Widow’s Bay took the most Emmy’s – 8 in total. DTF: St Louis from HBO Max and the canceled Spider-Noir were also the big winners. Widow’s Bay won for acting with Betty Gilpin, casting, sound mixing, production design, cinematography, music supervision, music composition and sound editing. 

DTF won supporting actors for limited series took directing, and writing, cinematography and picture editing. 

Prime Video’s Spider-Noir won stunt coordination, title design, special visual effects, cinematography and sound editing.

Best animated show went to South Park taking its 5th Emmy.

Hulu’s Paradise saw its Shailene Woodley win for guest actor. 

David Harbour won supporting actor beating Jason Bateman for HBO Max’s DTF St. Louis while Linda Cardellini won for supporting actress. DTF creator Steve Conrad won directing and writing.

Outstanding movie when to Netflix’s Remarkably Bright Creatures.

A few of the other notable winners included: 

Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Starring Bad Bunny, The Traitors and The Late Show With Stephen Colbert The Muppet Show.

Jimmy Kimmel won as best game show host.

Octavia Spencer won for narrating Lost Women of Alaska.

Mariska Hargitay Won two Emmy’s for best documentary and directing My Mom Jayne,. It was truly outstanding. When I saw it – I said this is worthy of an Emmy right away. She will be hosting the Primetime Emmy’s. Great choice.

Additional winners included The Pitt took four Emmys, Pluribus took four, three for Beef, Palm royale won three as well and Bridgerton took two, Love on the Spectrum took three, Margots Got Money Problems took three, 

Apple TV was the big winner with 19. HBO Max-16, Netflix-13, NB C-7, Peacock-6, CBS-5,Disney+-4, Prime Video-4, MGM+/Prime Video-5, FX/Hulu-3, National Geographic-3, Adult Swim-2, Comedy Central-2, PBS-2, and YouTube-2.
