GOLDEN GLOBES GIFTING SUITE 2010: 'VINTAGE BLING'

The OH Canada Premium Suite had Canadian businesses showing their wares. One that caught my attention and actually took my breath away was a jewelry line like I've never seen before. It's called Vintage Bling. What a great name because that's exactly what it was (and you can imagine, covering the red carpet for 15 years, I've seen it all)

Based in Winnipeg, this jewelry company begins with recycled old costume pieces but so much bling is added to them, that they glow and sparkle and are huge interesting works of arts: creations that you have truly never seen before. The company's owner is one creative woman named Dayle Goertzen from Winnipeg.

To check out Dayle's jewels go to her website: info@vntagebling.ca or call her at 204-791-2508 (Tell her I sent you)

If you are looking for a gorgeous piece, that will never be duplicated, this is the woman to get something from. These are original works of art.

LUXURY DOG TREND:
D PET HOTEL, HOLLYWOOD

OK dog lovers listen up!

It sure is the luxurious life here in Hollywood: for dogs...I found a place called the D Pet Hotel.

You have got to check out this website...you'd want to stay there!

It's described as a W Hotel for dogs. It's modern, sleek, clean, doesn't smell doggie at all, and not only can Quigley get special meals, bottled water, spa service, and treadmill workouts but you can book dog "suites". The Uber Suite, as it's called, is fit for humans with beds, paintings on the walls, 42-inch flat screen TV playing dog movies. The suites are huge and did I mention they have chauffeur service for your dog? He gets picked up in a Bentley or a Lamborghini, whatever he's in the mood for and by the way, owners cannot go, it's just for the dog!

MOVIE MARKETING:
TRENDS SUMMER 2010

Now turning to Movie Marketing, and ad campaigns trends. It seems the way the studios do their TV ads are not what they should be doing their online ads. Digital-advertising is a must in today's world, but its now been discovered that what works well in traditional media does work the same way digitally. For television, movie studios use Thursday as the day to launch TV ads for a film, but when it comes to online, a new study shows the consumer watches about the same amount of movie-related video on weekdays and even more on the weekend with the least amount of viewing movie-related video on Thursdays! Friday, Saturday and Sunday are the big online viewing days, and in fact, we watch more movie-related video online on Mondays than on any other weekday. Seems people are thinking about movies as the weekend ends.

GREEN CELEBRITY: ENTOURAGE STAR ADRIEN GRENIER

Entourage star Adrien Grenier continues to set trends as a green conscious celebrity. He drives a Toyota Prius hybrid and is just one of the many celebrities who are very vocal about their environmental activism. Grenier has embarked on a new television series The Green Life - that will illustrate how making small changes in everyday living can be cool and simple. Along with a friend, their new production company, is called "Reconcile" and was derived from the name of Adrian's other company, Reckless Productions - Webster's definition of restoring friendship and harmony; in this case with the earth. He's also following in Leonardo Dicaprio's footsteps and is producing a documentary film about media culture. Adrian says "if everyone just became a little more aware of his or her own personal impact on the earth, real change would ultimately result."

PAPARAZZI: SECURITY FOR CELEBS

Paparazzi problems for celebrities..never seems to go away here in LA....

L.A. Police Chief William Bratton said last summer, L.A. has had fewer problems with paparazzi since Britney Spears "started wearing clothes" and other celebrities changed their partying ways.

"If you notice, since Britney started wearing clothes and behaving; Paris is out of town not bothering anybody anymore, thank God, and evidently, Lindsay Lohan has gone gay, we don't seem to have much of an issue".

Bratton pushed aside calls for new laws to crack down on paparazzi as an unnecessary "farce" because photographers have been losing interest in getting stars in trouble. I don't agree with that at all...as a member of the media - we are just as "on a story" of a celeb in trouble as we ever were.

I sat down with Moti Shapira - former Israeli intelligence officer and now head of a private security firm here in LA to discuss the celebrity madness.

HUGH HEFTNER

I had a chance to speak to Hugh Heftner...founder of Playboy. Definitely interesting guy (and very polite) He was married in 1949, but before their wedding, his wife Mildred told him she had an affair.

He has called that "the most devastating moment of his life." So she allowed him to have sex with other women, out of guilt and hopes that it would save their marriage. They divorced 10 years later. He has said during that time, he was involved with maybe eleven of twelve months worth of Playmates.

He is the sponsor for the letter 'Y' in the Hollywood Sign.

Needless to say His Playboy mansion is infamous the most eventful parties in Hollywood. It's where I caught up with him and yessss the mansion is what its cracked up to be.

In 2004 Kendra Wilkinson, a blonde, aged 18 at the time, now she's 23, was asked to move into the Mansion to become girlfriend number simultaneous 3. How did they hook up? Well, I asked Kendra.

What'll you hear this chit chat.
